Free Blackberry

Somehow I got a free Blackberry Storm.

Verizon called me and told me I could have it. So…I went in and got it. I have heard from friends and other people that just like when the iPhone first came out, this phone has some kinks to work out. But what happened when I visited the Verizon store? They “ooo-ed” and “ahhh-ed” its capabilities and raved about its striking and incredibly useful features. In short, I melted.

I have never had a phone that did more than text and make phone calls. My most recent phone before The Storm, the Chocolate III, could take pictures, but not very good ones. So when I had the opportunity to have a kick ass phone for zero dollars, I was all over that sweetness.

But now that I have it…IT SUCKS. Every time I try to take more than once picture at a time, it locks up. If I try to make a video, same deal. If I am excessively texting, the Storm just can’t handle it. OH! I forgot to mention that I text faster than it can register letters, so all the sudden I will look down and the message box will say “;ldkjf;aejw;gw” It also loves to take naps. AKA shut off for no apparent reason.

I have had the thing for 2 weeks and I have already taken the battery out and put it back in to get it working again about 50 times.

Supposedly there’s an application to fix all of these things coming out in the middle of April, I mean end of April, I mean beginning of May…I mean…who am I kidding? It’ won’t come out for another year when I have a new shitty cell phone.
